The Old PA Pike (TOPP) Trail is an undeveloped trail owned and managed by the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority (BFJRA). Use of the trail is at your own risk.
Availability:

General Hazards & Safety: The TOPP Trail is a rugged path that presents the usual risks and hazards associated with outdoor recreation. Be prepared for uneven surfaces, natural debris, and wildlife. There are no amenities and limited cell service on the trail.
Special Hazards: Tunnels The TOPP Trail includes two former Pennsylvania Turnpike tunnels. These tunnels present special hazards.
Stay on Former Travel Lanes: For your safety, you must stay on the former travel lanes within and around the tunnels.
Use Lighting: The tunnels are dark. All users are required to have and use adequate lighting to safely navigate through them.
Do Not Disturb Bat Habitats: The tunnels are home to threatened and endangered bat species. It is illegal to disturb or harass them. Do not make loud noises, shine lights directly on them, or otherwise interfere with the bats.
